An opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Maintenance Planning Manager.

You are accountable for the planning of all EIL rolling stock maintenance, across all maintenance locations, in accordance with the transport plan and Fleet maintenance compliance requirements. You will providing leadership and management the team to ensure delegated authority is being effectively discharged. You are responsible for team performance and continued professional development.

This position is based at our Engineering Centre in Leyton.

We are looking for someone to...

•  Ensuring the maintenance slots are available to support the Transport Plan, through cooperation and communication with EIL commercial and diagram conception teams and Rolling Stock senior management.
• Responsible for all co-ordination, management and implementation of fleet maintenance from commercial timetable agreement through to handover to the production locations
• Ensure all maintenance is planned and managed across all depots and taking account of any depot constraints.
• Liaison with Engineering, Supply Chain and Production over all modifications or changes to the maintenance regime that could impact on the ability to deliver the maintenance plan in the budgeted year.
• Ensure all completed maintenance is accurately recorded and controlled to ensure ongoing fleet safety and compliance.
•  Ensure effective coordination takes place with all maintenance stakeholders such that Production teams can deliver the plan.
• Monitor performance against service level agreements/KPI’s within the three depots and prioritise and coordinate corresponding action plans.
• Ensure that the Team works efficiently, focus on the correct priorities and collaborates constructively.
• Management of team including recruitment, development, performance management and exit.
• Make sure a strong succession plan is in place to retain the “key knowledge”.
• Suggest and/or support any change required in the organisation to meet business challenges.
• Set and agree objectives and encourage/support them to perform.

You’ll need…

Essential

• Sound knowledge of maintenance planning and control processes gained from industry experience.
• Strong understanding of the purpose of maintenance and its obligations to the rolling stock safety case.
• Excellent communication skills, with an ability to influence at all levels across internal teams and external suppliers.
• A proven leader with the ability to inspire your team and those around you.
• Resilient, with a proven ability to manage effectively under pressure and make decisions in a dynamic environment.
• Sound knowledge of engineering and operating practices in a rolling stock environment.
• Ability to communicate effectively in both English and French fluently.
