An exciting opportunity has arisen to join Eurostar as its Depot Scheduling Manager. You will be based in our Engineering Centre in Leyton.

 

You will own the Temple Mills International Depot (TMI) Depot Plan (4-week / 1-week) and sign-off on the ability of the depot to deliver based on its capacity, capability, and manage in-month plan changes and track in-month performance against the standard week and TMI Depot Plan.

 

Internal use only: Grade E based in TMI. Travel Level:3.

Requirements

 

You’ll have…

 

  • Accountable for creating and maintaining the TMI (Temple Mills International depot) Standard Week (by Commercial Period) with sign-off from the Maintenance Planner.
  • Liaising with the Maintenance Planner to agree the Rolling Stock Forecast (4-week). Ensuring the maintenance requirements are complete and understood by all parties.
  • Manage the TMI Interiors planning, work load creation and monitoring processes and procedures
  • Assist the managers of production to consolidate any gains in production capacity at TMI through planning and KPI updates, developing production team processes and ensuring communication to promote introduction of changes.
  • Accountable for ensuring that maintenance and other activities by supporting departments are included within the depot planning (Infrastructure, Training, Engineering, contracting partners, etc)
  • Monitoring and reviewing depot resources and capabilities to meet the changing maintenance plan requirements. 
  • Assessing the capacity and capability of the TMI depot to deliver to the 4-week Rolling Stock forecast (with inputs from necessary parties).
  • Responsible for signing-off on the Rolling Stock Plan for TMI (4-week / 2-week) after agreeing revisions with the Maintenance Planner.
  • Managing in-month changes to the Rolling Stock Plan for TMI (4-week to the 2-week).
  • Tracking and monitoring changes to the TMI Depot Plan (in-week) that will impact the 4-week TMI Depot Plan forecast.
  • Setting the 4-week TMI monthly performance baseline, tracking, monitoring and outputting performance reports against the TMI Depot Plan.
  • Management of Level 2 overnight servicing (2-week).
  • Responsible for creating the TMI Depot Plan, that includes priority work (major defects, derogations, restrictions and campaigns).
  • Support and deputise for the Scheduling Manager

 

 Essential

  • Sound knowledge of railway operating procedures & maintenance planning and scheduling processes and practices.
  • Ability to look for performance opportunities to simplify and streamline the business.
  • Strong understanding of the purpose of maintenance and its obligations to the rolling stock Health & safety standards.
  • A good appreciation of IT systems and system development, Intermediate/Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent communication skills, with an ability to influence at all levels across internal teams.
  • Resilient, with a proven ability to manage effectively under pressure and make decisions in a dynamic environment.

 

Desirable

  •  Ability to speak French, or willingness to learn would be advantageous.
  • Experience of our examination structure, rolling stock defect management and Computerised Maintenance Management Systems would be highly beneficial.
