Job Description

Skilled Welders – Burton on Trent – initially a fixed term contract, with the view to transferring to a permanent role  
Up to £24.22 per hour (via umbrella) + Overtime

An opportunity to work for a global, reputable company known for providing highly professional Welding and NDT services to a vast range of industries including Petro-chemical, nuclear electric, off-shore, rail, power generation, mining, gas, construction, foundries and general engineering.

This opportunity provides the chance to train up in every style of welding, earning multiple coding’s and qualifications in NDT testing to become your own one-stop-shop for companies across the UK.

Working on a wide range of different contracts throughout the UK, no 2 working days will be the same.

Your New Organisation

Being market leaders in NDT testing within the welding industry, your new role will help them achieve their aim of being a one stop shop for all welding and testing needs.

Your New Opportunity

An opportunity to become a mobile technician joining a team working on different projects at different locations throughout the UK.

To be responsible for making sure all work is carried out to the highest standard set by the organisation.

Opportunity to be trained up and coded in all welding and NDT testing techniques.

Earning potential over £55,000 per annum.

The Candidate

You will have previous experience in a similar role and environment.

You will ideally have MIG, MAG, TIG or MMA welding skills and be able to weld a variety of different materials including Mild Steel, Stainless Steel and Aluminium

Ability to weld both Butt and Fillet in a multitude of angles including vertical and overhead.

Ability to hit the ground running and utilise your skillset within a wider team of technicians.  

Essential

  • MIG and MAG trained on a variety of materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium.
  • Full UK driving licence as a van and fuel card are provided.
  • Able to pass a medical and drug and alcohol test.
  • Keen to learn new skills.

Desirable

  • Previous coding’s in MIG or Stick welding.
