Job Description

Ford & Stanley –Specialists in Trade & Technical Recruitment are recruiting a Team Leader for one of the fastest-growing rolling stock companies in the UK.

The Opportunity:

This position will give someone the responsibility to manage and support the modifications team, by ensuring the team efficiently and effectively completes a wide variety of assembly tasks, involving the use of a variety of machinery and hand tools on the production line.

Role and Responsibilities:

  • Organise and communicate job expectations to your team.
  • Monitors the team's progress to ensure objectives/targets are achieved on time.
  • Complete relevant work in accordance with the correct documentation and other specifications, ensuring
    safety, quality, and production targets are achieved by yourself and the team.
  • Liaise with manager to ensure resource/stock levels are in place to achieve planned activities.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in team management within a rolling stock/aviation environment with a focus on full body/modification projects, along with a willingness to work with a positive attitude. They will be very safety focussed, with a keen eye for detail (Identifying key missing details to create accurate reports). The individual must be able to show that they hold strong communication skills, as you will be required to liaise with various managers and staff throughout the course of a day..

Essentials

  • Experience in team management
  • Strong communication/leadership skills
  • An in-depth understanding of full body/modification programs
  • Able to create detailed reports.
  • Excellent planning and organizational skills
  • IT Literate (Word, Excel, MRP, etc)
  • Full UK Driving License

Shift Pattern

This position is based on a straight days shift pattern, Monday > Friday, 07:00 > 16:00 (40 hours / week)
