A Signalling Project Engineer is required to join a major rail and engineering contractor working in Northern Ireland. You will be acting as a Project Engineer and Construction Contractors Responsible Engineer, undertaking daily management and coordination of the technical and engineering activities for the signalling discipline. Responsibilities will include; Liaising with other engineers, managers, team-members, sub-contractors and clients as required, ensuring all signalling construction complies with all standards, legislation, contract requirements and specifications, assessing competence and availability of persons, managing sub-contractors, ensuring successful and safe delivery of projects as well as ensuring that changes are managed and risk registers are reviewed, undertaking site surveys, monitoring progress, reporting and inputting information, accurately documenting the project, and carrying out inspections.
The successful candidate will have previous experience in signal engineering project works in a rail environment, have the ability to demonstrate competence in signalling activities, have a UK driving licence and be willing to work away from home and undertake on-call duties as required. Ideally, you will based near Glasgow, Crewe or Birmingham to have an easy access to the Client’s office if required, however this is not essential. If you wish to relocate to Northern Ireland the Client offers a relocation package of £8,000, however relocation is not necessary. All travel costs will be covered by the company.
