Are you an experienced Project Manager/Senior Project Manager looking to play a key role in a business’s growth plans?

The Situation

Ford & Stanley are currently partnered with a leading Signalling Design and Rail Consultancy, they are a business of 3 primary areas, firstly they design and manufacture bespoke products/solutions in line with Rail Safety and Signalling requirements. Secondly, they provide a custom design service to create and replicate life-expired or obsolete equipment. Our client also works as a consultancy providing project delivery for a range of signalling and control systems in the Railway industry. The team are a primary contractor in a major Network Rail project, managing the delivery of a new Signalling Workstation. The team are therefore looking for Senior Project Manager to take full ownership of this portfolio.

The Opportunity

You will be responsible for overall project delivery and work to manage the technical resources, external stakeholders and contracted partners.  As part of a smaller team, your ideas will be respected and listened to, giving you the opportunity to make a change in a rapidly growing business. Our client is focused on scaling up and is set to increase their revenue by 90% this year and double it the year after. The brand continues to grow respect and they are finding themselves competing with the likes of Siemens & Hitachi. They are market leaders when it comes to the design of obsolete signalling equipment. The role offers diverse exposure to market-leading products and high-profile Railway projects. The systems that a successful candidate will be implementing will be present in the railway industry for over a lifetime.

Essential Skills/Attributes

  • Experience managing Engineering based projects.
  • Project exposure to Electronic, Hardware, Mechatronic or Software
  • Experience working with bespoke product solutions.
  • Railway experience is highly desirable
