About The Role

We are seeking a Senior Project Engineer, to provide technical leadership to the signalling engineering team on the portfolio of projects and undertake the duties of CRE in accord with personal competence. You will actively support specific business initiatives as required and ensure that all project related engineering tasks are robustly planned and resourced in accordance with agreed timescales and budgets.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the completion and leadership of signalling engineering tasks, ensuring the delivery is achieved in accordance with agreed engineering standards whilst attaining quality, budget targets within timescale constraints.Our Rail Signalling division are proud to be market leaders, demonstrating a turnkey approach for full lifecycle project delivery. The department is made up of proactive and innovative engineers working within major and minor project delivery for Signalling, Power and Communications projects within the UK. Key Duties & Responsibilities

As part of your day to day role, you are responsible for the following:

  • Developing Risk Assessments to identify Risks and Hazards and advising on adequate control measures
  • Ensuring that adequate signalling engineering knowledge regarding the project scope is available to all project team members
  • Ensuring that the project operates an appropriate document control process for all engineering deliverables management
  • Ensuring that changes to engineering scope are captured and as relevant escalated to the project manager for action in accord with the contract
  • Guaranteeing all work Package Plans, Task Briefing Sheets and SSOW Packs have been provided and understood
  • Project specific documentation, including drawings, SIGTAN’s, PAN’s, and TI’s
  • Briefing project documentation to employees as identified
  • Identifying project specific requirements for any permits or specific access requirements
  • Identifying and actioning with resource owners any requirements for specialist tools and equipment required for the programme delivery
  • Ensuring that orders are in place for all engineering deliverables / activities and providing timely and accurate reporting to the Linbrooke Project Manager upon targets and progress
  • Identifying project requirements and work with other project engineers to forecast and plan specialist skills / resources
  • Reviewing incident and accident reports and ensuring corrective actions and subsequent measures are briefed and remain implemented to prevent recurrence.
  • Proactively supporting management & safety staff in conducting investigations of accident or incidents.
  • Providing input, advice and recommendations to support the formulation of corrective actions.
