Senior Drainage Engineer required to work on major rail projects in the UK.
Contract - Inside IR35 - 6 months initially ongoing basis, long term contract.
Hybrid with travel to offices in the North West 2 days per week.
Role Brief:
The Senior Drainage Engineer shall undertake lead duties on the drainage work within an assigned Multi-Disciplinary or Single Discipline Design package (ES/Grip 3-5), and will work as the discipline responsible Engineer with support from producing engineers and BIM
Shall prepare and present updates on progress in accordance with the project requirements
Shall represent the discipline at all project related technical meetings including IDC/IDR, and will undertake the role of checker within the assurance chain for drainage design deliverables.
Shall provide updates into the Drainage Senior Management on Change Events, manage the inflow/outflow of change data including any impacting requirement for senior level escalation and support.
Shall take ownership of production control for the discipline’s submittal, including setting and managing TIDP/MIDP requirements alongside the BIM lead.
Production of Annotated Drawings, ideally using Bentley Civilstorm/Civils 3d or associated system.
Support Production of Flow Rate Calculus using Infodrainage/Mircodrainage.
Form A/B/C submissions (or support of lead discipline such as Civils,Track).
Undertake Checking role within quality assurance, and cover production of drawings as needed.
Understanding of drainage design such as NR/L2/CIV/005, NR/L2/INI/02009, SuDS, LUL Standards such as G0052, S1052 and S1056.
