Job Description

We are now seeking to strengthen and grow our Engineering team in our Birmingham, Manchester or York offices, initially working as part of our Main Works Civils High Speed 2 project team, by recruiting an experienced Drainage Engineer.

 

The ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate a range of experience within the Civil Engineering/Transportation/Infrastructure sectors. Main Duties

 

  • Involved in the work packages delivery of drainage designs
  • Involved in the delivery of technically sound solutions are produced meeting client specifications, including all associated reporting and cost estimating, to programme and within budget.
  • Provide technical guidance to engineers, graduates
  • Develop innovative solutions to design problems
  • Involved for the allocation of work to designers including utilisation
  • Collaborate with international technical design teams in the delivery of designs.
  • Involved for the delivery of CDM and design compliances
  • Involved for Surface Water Management Plans, Surface Water and Foul Water Drainage Strategy.

 

Experience

 

  • Bachelors or Master’s degree in Engineering or relevant Science subject
  • Experience of drainage design software – ideally Microdrainage and/or InfoWorks
  • Experience of Drainage design on infrastructure projects
  • Experience of creating surface water and foul water management plans and strategies including SuDS design
  • Experience of working with Highway and drainage technical standards
  • Experience of coordinating and managing modelling studies and flood risk projects
  • Awareness of project programmes and critical path, change management, quality assurance
  • Good communication and workload management skills
