Job Description

Due to continued growth & strategic plans for growth within the UK & RoI market, we now have vacancy for a Sales Engineer to support in selling to the rail & power markets.

The ideal candidate will be located in Scotland; a sales professional looking for a challenge in a demanding and competitive marketplace, with a proven track record of selling within the electrical industry either with a manufacturing or rail industry background.

Key Responsibilities:

Achieve or exceed company sales targets by building a strong pipeline for new enquiries and orders.

Conduct market research to identify selling opportunities and evaluate customer needs.

Actively seek out new sales opportunities through cold calling, networking, and the use of social media.

Ensure all areas of your territory are visited frequently and that an even sales cover is achieved.

Work closely with Network Rail, Hire companies, DNO’s and contractors and build strong relationships helping to grow and develop the sales within your territory

Set up meetings with potential clients to identify and fulfil their needs or requirements

Prepare and deliver appropriate presentations on products and services

Carry out product demonstrations and set up product trials where necessary

Negotiate and close deals

Handle complaints or objections

Participate on behalf of the company in exhibitions or conferences

Collaborate with team members to achieve better results

Create frequent reviews and reports covering sales and financial data

Develop and build on existing relationships with key Independent & national electrical distributors.

Serve as the link of communication between key customers and Cembre internal teams.

Resolve any issues and problems faced by customers and deal with complaints in a timely manner to maintain trust.

 

Key Requirements

Proven track record of field sales preferably within the electrical industry

Ability to plan and work independently

Commercially aware

Strong analytical and IT Skills – Experience of QlikView an advantage

Experience of using a CRM System

Excellent interpersonal skills

Commercial awareness

Excellent organizational skills

Ability in problem-solving and negotiation
