Job Description
The Resource Coordinator is responsible for building successful relationships with Clients to establish their resource requirements. To ensure the provision of a comprehensive sourcing service for Labour requirements that delivers optimal Alliance wide commercial arrangement and delivers best value for the Track Renewal and Enhancement programme.
Key Accountabilities
To develop, maintain and manage positive collaborative relations with delivery teams and plant suppliers.
To follow and discharge the Labour supplier strategy and therefore provide the best value of procured materials and services.
To work loosely with the delivery teams to collate and request accurately and diligently the Labour requirements of the business.
To manage the effective sourcing of Labour to achieve priorities, efficiency targets, compliance with procedures, governance, and legal and regulatory requirements.
To maintain an appropriate supplier base, and highlight any supplier performance problems/risks to the Planning and Resources Manager.
To keep and manage accurate records of requirements and diligently manage changes with the local delivery teams.
To coordinate the control and management of any internal labour resources.
Ensure internal labour is rostered to minimise underutilisation and fatigue requirements are followed
Ensure internal labour has sufficient competency and training to carry out skilled track roles.
Motivated labour to ensure maximum performance and encourage positive behaviour which supports business need
To assist in the implementation of the appropriate controls and audit regimes that enable compliance with agreed procurement and commercial policies and procedures.
Responding to late requests for change.
Required Skills/Expertise
Essential
A customer focussed approach.
Excellent interpersonal, influential, communication and organisational skills
Demonstrable track record of practical effectiveness in sourcing and dealing with supply chain
Proven track record of working in a resourcing role.
Able to deal in meticulous detail to ensure accurate ordering and supply
Deals with people with integrity, honesty and good manners
Desirable
Understanding of Labour requirements in Track Renewals
Experience with electronic ordering systems
