RAMS Engineer required for International Engineering Consultancy working on Major Infrastructure Projects in the UK and Overseas Projects.
Various Rails Projects including High Speed Rail Projects in the UK, Middle-East and Rail Projects in North America.
Permanent Staff position, salary dependent on relevant experience.
Candidates previous RAMS experience on large scale Rail/Metro projects with Civil, MEP and System background.
Role Brief:
Develop Reliability, Availability, Maintainability, and Safety plans and procedures for large infrastructure projects.
Perform Hazard Analyses, and conducts Hazard Review workshops.
Apportion safety targets (THR and TFFR) down to subsystems and elements.
Develop Fault Tree Analyses (FTA)
Develop RAM Prediction and analyses for complex, large infrastructure projects (railways, thermosolar plants, water plants, etc.)
Apportion RAM Targets to subsystems and down the supply chains.
Perform RAM Demonstrations.
Perform Failure Mode and Effect Criticality Analysis (FMECA) and conduct failure review boards.
Required Experience:
Software / Systems / Electrical / Mechanical / Civil Engineer with a holistic, systemic view of the projects.
Extensive experience with RAMS management processes.
Have a holistic approach for the design and assessment of railway projects
Extensive knowledge about processes and requirements in EN 50126.
Extensive knowledge of the CSM (Common Safety Method).
Previous RAMS experience on large scale Rail/Metro projects with Civil, MEP and System background.
Experience with relevant analytical techniques including, but not limited to, Quantified Risk Assessments (QRA), fault tree analyses (FTA), failure mode and effects analyses (FMEA/FMECA), statistical tests and estimation.
Previous experience in producing RAMS deliverables in accordance to international standards (EN 50126, 28, 29, IEC 61508), best practice and in line with the Client requirements, plans and procedures.
