We're looking for an experienced Rail Civils Site Manager for an exciting new role within an established and growing company with works in rail and civil engineering.
This is a role that offers scope for progression and training for an individual who has experience of rail and civils and is looking for a new and exciting challenge in growing industry.
About the Role:
· You’ll be managing multiple contracts to their successful outcome, covering both planned and reactive projects
· Projects will be located in the North West and Central regions.
· You’ll need understanding of design drawings and commercial awareness
Main Duties:
· Acquisition of materials, plant and equipment, managing sub-contractors
· Liaising with clients on a daily basis
· Organisation and planning of site personnel and resources
· Implementation and promotion of site management plans to ensure compliance with HSQE policies
· Preparation of site paperwork as required to include works packages and contract plans, possession, isolation and traffic, risk assessments
· Management of site personnel to include providing guidance and recognising and training or development requirements
· Maintaining databases to log progression of projects
· Liaising with Project Managers and Commercial teams as required
· Carrying out site visits and reviewing completed works as required
Requirements:
· Experience of civil engineering construction projects
· Railway experience (not essential but desirable)
· You will have a good knowledge of contracts within high value structures works
· Experience of managing more than one work site
· SMSTS
· PTS (desirable)
· Full and clean UK driving licence and willingness to undertake Drug and Alcohol screening
· An ability to work in a fast-paced environment
You will be required to undertake Drug and Alcohol testing as this role requires site visits.
