We’re seeking a Rail Civil Engineer to join the team of a well-regarded Civil Engineering company in the railway and power industries. This company has a track record of delivering projects on time and on budget and pride themselves on being approachable, friendly and supportive.
Working as a Rail Civil Engineer within this company, you will be based in and around locations in the South East of England the Surrey region.
Responsibilities:
· Managing civil engineering projects of all scales on target and on budget
· Reviewing and authorising technical drawings and engineering plans
· Carrying out site investigations
· Reviewing and implementing temporary work designs
· Evaluating and verifying data such as maps, reports, tests etc
· Evaluating potential risks in respect of materials, costs etc
· Ensuring compliance with H&S, guidelines, regulations, etc
· Overseeing procurement of materials
· Reading, managing and interpreting design documents
· Resolving technical issues as required
· Providing feedback to the team
· Completion of handback documentation
Rail Civil Engineer Role Requirements:
· 2 years’ experience in railway civil engineering
· HV feeder and substation experience (desirable)
· BA in Civil Engineering
· Driving licence
· Great leadership skills, the ability to solve problems, communicate effectively and a willingness to learn and develop
