Job Title: PTS Train Cleaner - Night Shift at Cricklewood Carriage Sidings (You must hold a Sentinel Card with valid PTS competencies of AC/DC)

Contract Length: Contract until October 2023

New Requirement! We have several openings for skilled and experienced PTS / Sentinel Card holders & Operatives, to join a leading train operating company as a PTS Train Cleaner, performing a range cleaning tasks to ensure the trains are meeting cleanliness standards and are suitable for passenger service.

The Candidate:

We are seeking diligent, physical, and active PTS / Sentinel Card holders who have a background as a Track Operative, Labourer, Cleaner etc to join a leading train operating company and their busy night shift operation at the Cricklewood Carriage Sidings/Depot to perform a range of cleaning tasks to ensure the trains/fleets are ready & presentable for passenger service.

The Role:

As a PTS Train Cleaner, you shall be tasked with interior train cleaning tasks such as deep cleans and full cleans (touch point cleaning, sanitising, hoovering, mopping, removing of rubbish & waste, ensuring toilets are presentable etc ) and exterior train cleaning tasks such as hand-bashing, fuelling, sanding, graffiti removal and more. This role will see you use specialist cleaning equipment & chemicals where the trains/fleets are stationed in an outdoor area, with on-the-job training provided.

This role may lead to a permanent position in the future, with opportunities to progress as a Team Leader, Duty Leader and more within the train presentation area of the business. However, with the organisation experiencing huge growth plans, there are also opportunities to progress within engineering, customer service and other key areas of the business.


A highly desired & skilled role requires you to hold a valid & in date PTS / Sentinel Card for this position, along with a strong work ethic, effective communication skills, reliability, and flexibility to work nights on weekdays and weekends as part of a 7-night roster schedule. Working hours are currently 22:00pm - 05:00am which are subject to change with alternative hours being 21:00pm - 04:00am

Rates of Pay

  • Standard Hours (35 hours standard per week Monday - Saturday) - 11.23 p/h
  • Overtime - 16.73 p/h
  • Sunday Nights - 19.52 p/h
