The Opportunity
Ford & Stanley Recruitment are working with one of the biggest Freight Operating Companies in the UK on their search for a Project Engineer.
This is an expansion position in the team to ensure these engineering works are completed in a risk-free way, contributing to the businesses goal of becoming the biggest Freight Operating Company in the UK.
Having a focus on Continuous Improvement, the successful candidate will already have a good understanding of Diesel and Electric locomotive maintenance and some experience delivering projects.
Location:
Remote role with UK travel.
Role and Responsibilities:
- Organising and supporting locomotive surveys across the UK to support the First-in-Class (FiC) fitment plan
- Assisting in the design scrutiny of First-in-Class (FiC) designs which will include detailed analysis of mechanical, electrical, and pneumatic diagrams, testing procedures ensuring safety compliance and successful system integration.
- Programme support – Surveys; Design House engagement; Administration
Essentials
- Rail Freight Maintenance Experience
- Full UK Drivers Licence
