Assets - Procurement Manager

Are you looking to progress your career in Procurement, working in a small specialist procurement team where you can take ownership and lead sector procurement activities?

Situation

Ford & Stanley are currently parented with one of London’s busiest Train Operating Companies. Due to increasing demands internally, the Procurement team are looking to hire an Procurement Manager with an Assets focus to take ownership of all Asset Procurement and manage the timely delivery of procurement activities within their department. The Procurement Team are tasked with implementing updated internal processes across the whole business and build strong relationships with internal stakeholders to educate and ensure the Procurement Processes are streamlined.

You will be joining a growing team who have got ambitious plans to reshape the future of Procurement Operations. You will be given autonomy to take ownership of your own area of procurement and develop relationships internally to ensure your name is a recognised throughout the company for all Procurement activities for your field. With a vision to streamline the process and make it more automated, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the vision comes to fruition.

Role and Responsibilities

  • You will be a vital part within the supply chain, and be responsible for managing key deliveries of all procurement - Assets/M&E including Civils, Electricals, General maintenance, Construction, Demolition, Fire and Security systems, Telecommunications, Survey and Inspection, Plumbing and Drainage, Lifts and Escalators. 
  • Ensure procurement activity is efficiently sequenced by maintaining a forward workplan.
  • Identify and manage key risks relating to your team and advise the Head of Department.
  • Run tenders, evaluate bids and make recommendations, based on commercial and technical factors.
  • Knowledge of a wide range of contract conditions (standard commercial contracts, consultancy agreements, NDA’s, JCT, NEC etc).

Ideal Candidate

  • Experience within a Procurement based role.
  • Experience with Procurement of Assets and equipment
  • PCR Experience and background in Public Sector or Utilities
  • CIPS Qualification or qualified by experience 

Location

  • Central London – Near London Bridge
  • Hybrid Working (onsite 1-2 times per week)
