Job Description

We are seeking people for opportunities at the Highspeed Station of Ebbsfleet/Stratford.

As part of the High Speed team, you will be required to deliver exceptional customer service by creating a safe, secure, pleasant and comfortable environment for our passengers. Your responsibilities range from providing service information, selling tickets, dispatching trains, operating ticket gates, and dealing with safety and security issues. The ability to multitask is essential, as is having a team ethos.

You need to be a proactive individual who is self-motivated and able to use your own initiative to ensure that you are constantly providing the very best customer experience at all times.

You will be given full vocational training to ensure you have the skills, experience and knowledge required for the role.

You will work a varied shift pattern, which includes weekends and bank holidays.

The earliest shift start is 05:15 hrs and the latest shift finish is 00:45 hrs – you will need to ensure that you can  independently travel to and from your place of work without relying on the SE train network.

Below are the shift patterns for each of the Highspeed Stations, please ensure that before applying you are able to meet these shift patterns and have a suitable way to travel to and from work without relying on the use of public transport:

You must be able to demonstrate the following in your application:

  • Always be smart in appearance and wear your uniform with pride
  • To be proactive when it comes to problem solving
  • To demonstrate our values on a day to day basis
  • Demonstrate you are able to meet shift requirements between 05:15 and 00:45 (please describe how you will do so in the Supporting Information section of the application form)

Please note that if applying for Stratford International, the station is manned by Ebbsfleet International staff, so we are looking for the ability to meet shift requirements starting and finishing at Ebbsfleet.
