Salary:  “Base salary: £23,400pa to c.£29,250pa depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 10% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

As the S PA to the Director at HS2 you will provide high-quality administrative and secretarial support to the Hybrid Bill Delivery Director, supporting them in their duties to effectively deliver the Hybrid Bill to Royal Assent.

About the role:

• Manage the Director’s diary of internal and external meetings;

• Liaise with other SLT members and PA’s as required to arrange meetings with appropriate boards and other key stakeholders, to ensure effective use of time;

• Prepare briefing packs and meeting papers as required by the Director to ensure the smooth running of meetings;

• Act as secretariat for Hybrid Bill SLT weekly meeting, and manage the actions log to ensure on time delivery;

• Manage all travel and accommodation requirements effectively and within guidelines;

• Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI

 

About You:

Skills:

• Organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise, allocate and organize appointments and meetings in a logical manner.

• Able to complete support and administrative tasks to agreed deadlines with attention to detail.

• Meeting management - prepare appropriate documentation for meetings;

• Ability to produce clear, understandable and grammatically correct minutes and documents.

• Computer and IT skills especially email

• Communication skills to engage positively and represent the Hybrid Bill Directorate and a wide range of internal and external stakeholders.

• Relationship building skills across different stakeholders

Knowledge:

• Knowledge of Senior Leadership meetings process

Type of Experience:

• Experience of working in a busy office, including managing workload and meeting deadlines.

• Experience of handling sensitive and confidential information. The post-holder is expected to behave at all times in a manner consistent with the HS2 values of Safety, Leadership, Integrity and Respect
