Job Description

Operations Delivery Manager (x2)
Newcastle
Working Hours:  Average of 40 hours per week
(Locally agreed roster, 0530 - 1730 hrs)

Arriva TrainCare are looking for x2 Operations Delivery Managers. Working on a shift based Rota (days only), you will be responsible for managing fleet TRI’s and depot operations. As a people leader you will be responsible for line management of the Technical Riding Inspectors (TRI). You you lead and manage Depot Movements by acting as the PICoTM and DP.

Responsibilities:

Responsible for managing fleet TRI’s and depot operations including but not exhaustive to:

Line Management responsibilities for a team of Technical Riding Inspectors (TRI)

Lead and manage Depot Movements by acting as the PICoTM and DP

To assist the Depot Manager in ensuring all areas of the business are kept up to date

Contractor Management and issue of permits to work

Drive Depot/continuous Improvement innovations

Maintain and manage Depot HSEQ Requirements

Stores Management including weekly stock checks

Act as key contact for site and customer for problem solving outside normal office hours

To act as cover role for the TRI contractual coverage when required inline with the TRI JD

 

Qualifications:

BTEC certificate in Engineering

City and Guilds or NVQ Level 3 in Engineering - Rail Traction & Rolling Stock preferred

Good standard of education

Driver operator / shunter assessment in relevant class of vehicle

Full understanding of rail vehicle maintenance

Management of rail vehicle depot operations

Able to interpret engineering drawings

Understanding of mechanical and electrical engineering

Understanding of applicable health, safety and environmental standards and requirements

Understanding of production efficiency techniques

Excellent People management Skills
