Base salary: £40750 to c.£50950 depending on skills and experience. In addition, we offer flexible benefits fund of 20% which is paid on top base salary and is fully pensionable, as well as a range of competitive benefits - check them out in the Benefits section on our website.

The role holder will support the Head of Mobilisation (People & Collaboration) at HS2, in developing high performing, collaborative teams with the supply chain through the effective project management of our Collaboration Framework. Working closely with delivery team, ey stakeholders and the supply chain, the role holder will support HS2 in achieving its mission and raise the profile of the organisation.

About the role:

  • Be responsible for the development of supplier behavioural ‘assessment’ in mobilisation for our major procurements and co-ordinate behavioural assessments in procurement, acting as the subject matter expert for the organisation on the assessment process
  • Be responsible for the development of Collaboration Works Information and subsequent submission response reviews for our major procurements acting as the subject matter expert for the organisation.
  • Project manage the delivery of the contract mobilisation and joint operational capability (Initial and Full Operating Capability) phases for the major supply chain contracts across HS2, working closely with senior leaders, delivery teams and our Collaboration Partner network
  • Be responsible for the delivery of the mobilisation phase and subsequent contractual transitions support selected contracts
  • Work in partnership with the Change, Organisation Design and Transformation teams to align and coordinate mobilisation and full operating capability activities, creating a seamless service to delivery teams
  • Work with industry stakeholders and academic institutions to further develop and promote the HS2 approach to mobilisation, operational capability (Initial and Full Operating Capability) and collaborative working
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI

About you:

Skills:

  • Analytical skills – including the analyse capability assessments and the effectiveness of change processes
  • Coaching and Facilitation – including the ability to coach leaders and peers on aspects of organisational design
  • Organisation and Prioritisation skills – including managing multiple work-streams and competing priorities
  • Project management skills – including the ability to plan, communicate and manage mobilisation projects to time, quality and cost requirements

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of collaboration and maturity tools, techniques and approaches including ISO 44001and Capability Maturity Model Integration (CMMI)
  • Knowledge of organisational change management models, approaches and tools, including behavioural frameworks
  • Knowledge of the most effective ways to engage disparate organisational teams
  • Knowledge of matrix organisations and programme delivery (including engineering, technical and commercial aspects)

Type of experience:

  • Experience of integrating and aligning activity to support implementation of a collaboration culture
  • Experience of facilitating workshops and/or coaching others to develop collaboration expertise
  • Experience of managing client/contractor relationships
  • Experience in stakeholder management (including representing HS2 at public meetings and with partner organisations)
  • Experience of project management across multiple projects or work streams
  • Experience of managing ambiguity within project work-streams
