An opportunity has arisen to join the Finance team as its Group Accounting Manager.

 

The Group Accounting Manager oversees the annual and half-year consolidated IFRS accounts for Eurostar Group, ensures compliance with IFRS policies, supports accurate monthly reporting to SNCF, improves financial controls, and provides strong leadership to the Accounting & Control departments.

 

The position is located in our Kings Cross head office, which is situated in the heart of the vibrant and bustling city of London. Our office boasts a stunning and modern workspace that encourages collaboration and innovation.

Requirements

We are looking for someone to... 

  • Deliver the annual audited and half year unaudited consolidated IFRS accounts of Eurostar Group
  • Maintain Eurostar’s IFRS accounting policies and ensure compliance across the Group so that financial information is consistent and comparable.
  • Support the entity-level Accounting & Control Teams to deliver complete and accurate monthly accounting and reporting to SNCF (parent company) via BO Finance.
  • Deliver, monitor and improve financial controls across the Eurostar Group.
  • Deliver strong leadership to the Accounting & Control departments.

You'll need...

  • To be a Chartered Accountant (ICAS, ICAEW or equivalent) or have a Business School/University master’s degree in Finance
  • Experience in an accounting firm (preferably Big 4) in audit or audit and financial accounting advisory. (Industry experience in accounting consolidation, statutory reporting and/or technical accounting roles an advantage)
  • Expertise in International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Accounting Standards particularly IFRS 9, 10, 15, 16 and IAS 12, 16, 19, 36, 37, 38.
  • Expertise in consolidation under IFRS
  • Experience in Audit engagement management
  • Experience with financial controls frameworks
  • Strong people management skills for leading and developing others effectively

Desirable

  • Proficiency in the French language
  • Knowledge in SAP Financial Consolidation
  • Knowledge in IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards
