The Managed Environments division offers Arboriculture, Ecology Services, Industrial Rope Access (IRATA), and Vegetation Management services.

RSSI has over 200 full-time employees and a large contingent workforce covering most of the UK. It operates from offices in Birmingham, Doncaster, Basingstoke and Cwmbran.

 

What will I be doing?

We are seeking an experienced Works Delivery Manager within the field of Arboriculture and Vegetation management. You role will be to liaise with clients where there is a need for Arboriculture solutions. You will have experience of identifying work opportunities, planning and delivering work safely, on time and on budget.  As an astute financial practitioner you will effectively manage variable costs and identify efficiencies that can be made through regular reviews of processes in the department and interfaces with other departments

On a day to day basis some of your responsibilities will include:

  • Managing and accurately producing all work plans being financially aware of the costings associated with each project and highlighting any areas where costs are growing.
  • Completing & maintaining accurate, auditable and up to date planning records of time spent per project ensuring planning costs are kept within budget.
  • Completing and maintaining accurate payroll records ensuring information is added to aspire correctly, accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Assisting in the development, coaching and training of new and current staff ensuring all standards are maintained.
  • Assisting the Contracts Managers with staff reviews, appraisals and disciplinary issues.
  • Ensuring that processes and procedures are carried out in line with Group policies and maintain accurate and efficient order to invoice process against all required timescales.
  • Ensuring safety is delivered throughout all aspects of the organisation to the highest standards
  • Ensure clear communication with the Fleet department to ensure the relevant vehicle requirements are met.

What experience would we like you to have?

Our ideal candidate will be an organised team player with a positive attitude also possessing extensive experience in the field of Arboriculture and Vegetation Management and will have progressed from site-based roles to management positions so as to have an understanding of all area’s of arboriculture and vegetation management works. You will ideally possess the following:
