COSS / PIC – LNE (Permanent)

Job Description

As a General Foreman at CML you will always work in and promote a safe manner following appropriate procedures and instructions at all times.

You will organise, motivate and supervise all site operatives & subcontractors as well as identifying training needs and competencies of site operatives

You will work on the LNE Framework for Network Rail undertaking railway maintenance work including but not limited to vegetation clearance and brickwork. Working on the minor works civils projects, you will be dealing with high volume of work and in a high pressure / reactive environment.

You will be responsible for liaising with Clients/visitors in a professional manner and where necessary, carry out; inductions, site briefings of method statements and activities, daily inspections and record any changes. This will include taking photographs and record additional works found to the Project Manager/ Site Manager and ensure return to head office.

You will be required to get stuck in with other tasks when not utilising your skills / trade, we work as a team at CML.

Desirable Skills

  • Civils / Rail background
  • Experience of running small teams of men in a supervisory capacity on site
  • Experience with record keeping on site (daily reports / work summaries etc) and general good perception of risk and HSE procedures

Preferred qualifications:

  • PTS
  • COSS / PIC (at least 5 years’ experience)
  • LKT / Site Warden
  • IWA
  • ES – Desirable
  • SSSTS

Other information:

• Travel and lodging will be required as the sites are nationwide
• Training & Development is provided and maintained by our T&D team
• Position is permanent / directly employed
