Civils Setting Out Engineer requirements
- Able to clearly communicate the requirements of a safe system of work to ensure that these are followed accurately.
- Capable of taking ownership of tasks and communicating outcomes.
- Strong work ethic with flexibility to work unsociable hours/nights.
- Able to work on own initiative and seek out opportunities in line with level of responsibility.
- Holds a current driving license, PTS card & CSCS Card.
- Must be a good team player, with developed communication skills.
- Environmental awareness
- Setting out techniques – ability to use level & EDM, plus GPS
- Able to report issues with control and information provided.
- Read and interprets drawings and schedules.
- Knows about Activity Control Plans and production of resultant information for handover file.
- Strong understanding of construction tolerances.
- Awareness and use of Specification and other Contract documents.
- Able to produce detailed documentation for handover of completed works.
- Supervising and overseeing construction activities.
- Ensuring quality and compliance with specifications.
- Managing site logistics and resolving technical issues.
Lead Monitoring Surveyor requirements
- 3-years previous Engineering experience.
- Degree qualification in civil engineering or equivalent is desirable or proven relevant experience.
- SSSTS
- May be working towards Chartership/Incorporation with IStructE, ICE or other appropriate professional body.
- Familiar in Leica Survey equipment (GPS, Total Station, Optical & digital levels) for Setting Out & Survey
- Experience in reinforced concrete structures, Piling, Earthworks & Retaining structures.
- Awareness of commercial processes.
- Familiar with Quality Management System and familiar in writing RAMS.
- Proven people and project management skills.
- Team leader with organisational skills.
- Experience of working to high safety standards.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office – Word, Outlook, and Excel.
- An ambition to learn and develop.
- Flexibility to travel nationwide as required by our clients.
