So, when it comes to your life outside of work, ask us about our flexible and remote working policies designed to help you get the most out of life.”

The roles we are seeking to fill sit within the Business Transformation team in our Transportation business, which has an excellent record of delivery for a wide range of clients, including some of the largest public and private sector organisations in the UK, particularly in rail, highways, and local transport markets. We create a culture and environment to inspire our people, ensure collaboration with our clients and continue to shape the future of mobility. We are passionate about the importance of net zero and the role that transportation must play in meeting the global requirements.

Our Team thrives on:

Based in our Transport Consultancy and Advisory (TC&A) practice, our Business Transformation team is supporting leaders to think differently by re-aligning their strategic priorities, providing support to re-organise their businesses and develop processes to support new operations. We help uncover and then overcome cultural and organisational challenges which are hindering success.

We do this by:

Putting people at the heart of all we do and taking time to understand what really matters, respecting knowledge and complementing it with our own, and

committing to valuing, inspiring, and empowering everyone to be successful, while ensuring organisations, projects and programmes have the best chance to deliver on their commitments. We believe that both our own and our client’s organisations, projects and programmes thrive because of people, their culture and strength of relationships engaged and motivated people in the right environment and with the tools, capabilities and recognition they need will thrive.

The Individuals:

We are looking to recruit talented individuals that are passionate about leading excellence in transformation and complex business change. Like our team, these individuals will take pride in delivering an authentic and hands-on approach to understand our client’s business challenges and help achieve their ambitions. The roles we hope to fill will enhance our existing business consulting expertise: strategy setting; organisational and operational design; implementing and managing transformational change programmes, including cultural and behavioural leadership; business performance improvement; benefits realisation; and complex stakeholder engagement.

You will have responsibility for managing client-facing work from the outset, building, and fostering a network of professional working relationships, where you understand and help our clients solve multi-faceted business issues. As a skilled and experienced member of the team you will lead workstreams, to deliver measurable outcomes.

You will be expected to support achievement of challenging operational and consultancy revenue targets, undertaking bid management and delivery activity.

Experience of the Transportation sector is of interest but not essential.

The roles can be based in any of our London, Epsom, Birmingham, Bristol, Warrington, Manchester, or Cardiff offices. Travel to attend client sites across the UK and occasionally overseas, as required, is key.

What you can bring:

We are looking for people that bring a blend of consulting capabilities and a deep understanding of transformation techniques including:

  • Cultural and behavioural development.
  • Change and implementation management.
  • Strategy development - both business and delivery.
  • Operational improvement and organisational development.
  • Business process improvement - continuous improvement.
  • Research and analysis.

In particular we are seeking individuals with excellent client-facing experience developing and leading teams to deliver complex business change.

You will need to:

  • Hold at least a degree or equivalent qualification (post-graduate qualification and relevant technical certifications in change/business development activity would be desirable).
  • Hold or be willing to work towards Chartered Management Consultant (ChMc) status.
  • Be able to lead across competing tasks and operate successfully even when under pressure.
  • Be a highly collaborative individual, developing and maximising the value of stakeholder networks within and outside Atkins, including with our market facing teams.
  • Have well-developed emotional intelligence with the ability to flex your style to suit different stakeholders and support others in your team to do the same as part of wider development activity.
  • It is also essential that you can provide technical assurance of other’s deliverables, have excellent written communication skills, and can present, deliver, and oversee outcomes which are compelling, accurate, and engaging both to clients and in support of our business development and work winning activities.
