The Opportunity:
We require heavy mechanical fitters looking for a stable career path, great future potential earnings and further training to work at a rail client that has recently received significant government and overseas funding to increase production levels by 60%.
You will be provided with full training for 6 - 12 weeks in our clients Training Academy at their heritage site in Yorkshire!
The Situation
Due to an increase in projects and new bogie overhaul work, our rail client is looking to substantially increase their head count across the bogie workstream. They are also keen to prepare for additional projects that they are expecting over the next 12-18 months.
They are looking to employ a number of Fitter's to complete stripping and refitting of Bogies on the production line.
Full Training will be provided over the first 6 - 12 weeks of employment within their Training Academy working on obsolete Bogies, allowing candidates to get real, hands-on experience before starting on the shop floor.
Location:
Yorkshire, Rotherham, Doncaster, Leeds, Barnsley
Role And Responsibilities:
- Overhaul and maintenance of heavy rolling stock components
- Heavy Mechanical Fitting activities
- Repair and refurbishment of heavy mechanical systems
The Candidate:
- Comfortable working as part of a team
- Self-motivated and hard working
Essentials & Desirables:
- Vast Experience in an Engineering Background
- Capable of reading and interpreting engineering Assembly Manuals
- Physically fit and able to conduct Heavy Maintenance activities
- NVQ Level 3 or equivalent in a relevant discipline
Shift pattern:
Monday to Friday (Overtime Available)
Start Date:
Immediate start, pending full pass of Medical and Drug & Alcohol Tests.
Salary:
30,000 - 32,000 (Depending on Experience & Qualifications)
