Job Description

As the Asset Information Analyst, you will be responsible for delivering against the asset information objectives outlined within the HS2 Infrastructure Management, Digital Asset Information and Digital Engineering Strategies.

About the role

  • Facilitate and elicit the Asset Information requirements from the Systems & Stations Directorate (S&SD), provide and translate these for delivery by the Digital Engineering (DE) and Information Technology (IT) teams, checking suitability for the end state organisation;
  • Develop Asset Information Requirements, Guidance, Standards and detailed Specification as presented by the DE team and ensure that Asset Information can deliver the required level of service for the Infrastructure Manager (IM), aligned to Industry Standards and best practice;
  • Work with S&SD and DE to identify Asset Information improvements, continuously improve the maturity of Asset Information by identifying potential solutions to existing Asset Information activities;
  • Ensure the wider Asset Information team is sufficiently supported in the provision and development of Asset Information requirements at strategic, maintenance and operational levels to support the end to end business capabilities;
  • Review and confirm that S&SD Asset Information Requirements are embedded within short and long-term system development roadmaps and delivery plans through engagement with DE and IT;
  • Promote digital transformation in all areas where greater efficiency can be gained, influencing and implementing change;
  • Develop and implement processes required to manage the acceptance of Asset Information from the HS2 Project Team with the support of IT and DE;
  • Comply with relevant critical standards: ISO55000, ISO19650, PAS1192, ISO8000 and relevant areas of best practice;
  • Actively promote and embed Equality Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) in all your work, and support and comply with all organisational initiatives, policies and procedures on EDI.

About You

Skills:

  • Analytic skills and ability to use analytic tools and MS Office suite, Microsoft Power BI, Excel and Access at an advanced level;
  • Ability to constructively influence key relationships in large matrix organisations and their stakeholders;
  • Ability to plan, construct, create, review and deliver high quality and well written standards and guidance documentation.

Knowledge:

  • Knowledge of data management practices is essential;
  • Knowledge of industry classification systems (i.e. UniClass / IFC / Ontology) and asset information standards;
  • Knowledge of applicable industry standards and their impact on HS2 procedures and processes;
  • Understanding of the railway asset types;
  • Knowledge of data governance approaches;
  • Knowledge of project management and development lifecycles.
