The Opportunity
Mechanical fitter / assembler required, to work within an industry that has been taking headlines over the recent years for it’s higher than average salaries, and constant government funding.
Ford and Stanley are currently working in partnership with a leader in the design, manufacturing, and servicing of specialist rolling stock equipment, looking for a mechanically biased individual to carry out mechanical servicing activities on the components.
Location(s):
Swadlincote, Derbyshire
Role and Responsibilities
- Stripping and rebuilding specialist rail components
- Pre-delivery testing of mechanical components
- Mechanical assembly
The Candidate
The ideal candidate for this role will have proven experience of mechanical fitting / assembly within an engineering environment.
Essential
- Experience of working within an engineering environment
- Proficient in the use of a range of handheld tools
- Solid knowledge and experience of reading and interpreting engineering drawings
Desirable
- Qualification in a mechanical discipline
- Experience in operating machinery
